I began in the humanities and entered computer science just as the discipline itself was taking shape. That early crossing between language and technology has remained central to my work—as a writer, teacher, researcher, publisher, and student of artificial intelligence.
Across fiction, nonfiction, and reflective writing, I return to a continuing question: how does language shape what we understand, and what happens when a changing world asks us to see familiar things differently?
